A handful of countries have already introduced the 4-day work week, clearly believing that its pros outweigh theirits cons. Iceland had such ana positive experience in trialing it that 85 percent of businesses use this schedule; Spain announced in March 2021 theyit would commit to three years working a 32-hour Workweekwork week for three years without having any cut or loss in compensation. The government has committed to this for the companies whothat want themit and will make up for the difference for those willing participantsto participate. In August 2021, UH Rep Mark Takano (D) put forward his Thirty Two HourThirty-Two-Hour Work Week Bill as part of an effort readjustto ameliorate American workers' lives withby introducing overtime pay.

A four-day work week is not just for people who are working 40 hours per week, but also for those who prefer to workhave 10 or more days off. The idea of a 4-hour4-hour-long job would be different for every company, and it can be done in two ways:.
