The standard structure of payment is $3/each delivery + client's tips.
Some clients don't pay tips, so you only get paid $3 when this happens.
Deliveries range from $3 to $12/total.
Sometimes, Doordash will pay a bonus. This month, for example, they're paying $15/bonus for a total of 5 deliveries made between 5 am toand 11 am.
This person that I spoke withto usually makes an average of $130/day (before taxes), and; he starts at 7 am and takes a break at 11 am. He resumes working at 12 pm and stops at 3 pm again. Then he works again from 5 pm - 7:30 pm.
He suggested I work from 11 am to 7:30 pm, with no breaks, for a total of 8:30 worked hours.
Currently, with Ana, I'm making $128/day before taxes, and $109.33/day after taxes, working from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. I can get commissions IF I reach the sales target, which didn't happen for the last 2 months (Lou also didn't reach his sales target, which means that the problem is not only with me. Sales are low).
Commissions at American Photonics are an average of $420.
Some other things to be taken into consideration:
Pros:
- Flexible Schedule
- I'll be my "own boss"
- Not working for Ana's personal projects.
Cons
- Gas expenses would significantly rise
- Car depreciation / Wear & Tear: Realistically, my car is already bad, but it would depreciate quicker.
- Insurance could get higher
