Humans have been seen to roam the earthEarth for many years. However, evil things have always corrupted the earthEarth. God wanted to offer a “redemptive plan and hope for humankind” (Goh) and thus he decided to bring forth a flood to tame evil. In order to preserve the human race, God chose Noah and his family to survive, and they willwould eventually be the ancestors of all humans living on earthEarth. God commanded Noah to create an ark and said: “Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks. For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die” (ESVGen 6:16-17). He then told Noah to bring with them two of every animal, - one male and one female - to continue the animal species.
