We are usually asked this question very early in life: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” It’s one of the biggest questions asked of children, from toddlers to teenagers,; a difficult question for most, after all, how many children really know what they want to do with the rest of their lives? I am one of the exceptions, - from a very young age I have had an obsession with fixtures and fittings and have always wanted to be an interior designer.
To start with, I really enjoy designing bedrooms, kitchens, homes and more. I feel that doing something you love makes you strive to be successful and makes the rewards even more satisfying. Interior designers need to be creative and have imagination, which I think I have. Interior spaces can make a difference into how life is experienced, so you have to try hard and put 100% effort into thisthe job. This could sound hard for others, but I know I can do it if I persevere. My dream is to get into the ‘University of the Arts’ in London, and get good grades to have more chanceschance of being an official interior designer, decorating people’s homes or buildings. I think I cancould pass inat the ‘University of the Arts’ because interior designers are constantly learning; they improve their knowledge by recreating their designs. I also think I cancould pass because interior designers pay attention to detail and know how to combine details to create beautiful and interesting results, which I could do in classes. Interior designing can be hard, but I’m not a fan of desk jobs, so I willwould love this job very much.
Thank you for listening and all your time, but I’ve got to go, I have rooms to design.
