Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing today to express my opinion regarding the usage of technology to monitor the students.
As technology evolved withover time, the surveillance devices hashave advanced as well. Wherever we go, we see that technology surroundsurrounds us, as it makes our life easier. Nevertheless, some of this technology is being used to monitor us without our consent. This is called a violation of privacy.
Right, life is not bearable without the advanced technology we use nowadays. It help us finish daily tasks in an easier and a faster way. Now, we can apply to the university via online, without having to cross many miles in order to go to the university. Moreover, it made the contact with the university’s administrative offices much easier. As hereFor example, I am contacting you from the outmost southmost southern point of Lebanon. In addition to all of this, security cameras on the premises can prevent crimes from happening. Moreover, in case it, and if something did happen, it willwould be easier to catch the criminal.
However, to be monitored without knowing is a serious crime against us. We no longer feel safe and comfortable, as we do not know where and when we are being monitored. In addition, our private information, such as our email, is being accessible to everyone on the e-learning platform.
Therefore, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
Overall, we demand to know where and when we are being monitored. by statingPlease state the placeslocation of the cameras installed on the campus. In addition, the university council should hideredact our personal information and make themit accessible just for the administrators only.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew Elamil
