Dear Archbishop Miller,
There are several reasons why I would like to be confirmed this year. First, I want to be confirmed because I want to be closer to God and learn more about Christ. Strengthening my faith will enable me to build a stronger relationship with the Lord, my family and the church. I have been preparing for confirmation by going to confession, altar serving, learning the gifts of the Holy Spirit and hashave been doing my mass journals every Sunday.
My relationship with Jesus is that he is always here with me. No matter how alone I am, I can always count on Jesus to be with me. He's hard on me because that's what I need. He is incredibly comforting when I am suffering. I pray because whenever I'm having a tough time, I could reach up to him and tell him my consciousness. I pray alone so that I can improve myself.
My plans are to keep growing in my faith after confirmation areand to continue to attend Sunday mass, prayingpray more, and readingread more of the Bible and the Catechism. LovingI will focus on loving others, praying for those who need it, and doing my best to spread God’s word. I have picked Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton for my patron saint because I feel that this saint had overcome many challenges in life, but later on managed to face them. Since she would often write in her journal of her religious aspirations, and reflections, that relaterelates to me because I do that when I feel something is wrong.
Sincerely,
Leah
