This isThese represent one of the climate disasters that, due to its extent and intensity in southwestern Iran, is one of the major environmental hazards in these areas. inIn recent years, the Southwest Ahwaz dust source is one of the strongest and most active sources in Khuzestan province, Therefore, the. The purpose of this study was to investigate climate change (precipitation, soil moisture, NDVI and AOT) duringfrom 2000 to 2018 in the dust source of south east of Ahwaz and its relation with the frequency of dust phenomenon occurrence in Ahwaz. The results show that with decreasing precipitation in this dust source, soil moisture (0 to 10 cm underground) and NDVI waswere decreased and the AOT was increased. Ahwaz synoptic station data shows an increase in the reporting of rising dust caused by the dust source, which is in agreement with these climate changes.
