Although not all Ancientancient Egyptian tools are used in the modern world, the use of multiple tools hasare still been utilizedbeing used today. “Hammer stones, may be pecked into shape by means of the hand hammer, and its use is apparent on more than one stone pipe; the same pecking-marks are visible on the statuary and carvings of Egypt” M’guire(M’guire, J.D. The Stone Hammer and its Various Uses. Biblolife, 20112011). The Egyptians used a hand hammer, a wooden rod with a rounded stone attached on the top, as seen in P1 on page 2. Today, we use a similarly designed hammer both of them havingwith a rod with stone or steel attached on the top. The shape of the stone or steel is not rounded, but designed in a certain way for nailing or extracting nails. While, while in comparison, the Egyptians had a simple rounded stone for carving or statutorystatuary. Another tool still used today is the Egyptian bow drill. “The bow drill is one of the oldest types of drills developed by craftsman" (CITE SOURCE).
