In grade school, extra-curricularextracurricular activities help students stand out from the rest. Dancers join Pandiwata. Singers, singers join Glee. Performers, performers join Balloons and so on. I wanted to be one of them. I wanted to make a name for myself, so I went for it. I tried out for Pandiwata, and I feltexperienced my first rejection. I tried out for Glee, and I gotwas rejected once again. It went on and on until high school. I didn’t get accepted in a single club and it slowly made me doubt myself and my capabilities, but I still kept trying. Then, in first year of high school, I gotwas accepted into Citizen’s Army Training (CAT). My first year was rough. Me and theThe two other people in my platoon and I were constantly screamed at. We had punishments, like standing still under the intense rays of the sun. There were many times that I wanted to quit, but I would just tell myself that there’s a rainbow after the storm. That became my motto every single day.
