Abstract: As the ageing population has become a global challenge, with the increasingadvent of increased life expectancy, the World Health Organization (WHO) promotes a public health framework for “active ageing” to cope with the challenge. Based on the literaturesliterature and relativerelated research achievements, thethis paper introduces the current situation and challenges of the ageing population in Macao, summarizes thesummarizing active ageing strategies and exploresexploring the development /and practice of active ageing in Macao.
