In the book “Of men and Mice” Lennie is one of the main characters, he is shown as being a childish and we get to know him better throughout the book. Lennie tries to sneak a new born puppy into his room, the quote “Give 'um to me, George. I'll take 'um back. I didn't mean no harm, George honestly I didn't, I jus' wanted to pet 'um a little" (pg 69). This shows us that Lennie doesn’t think things through and he doesn’t think about the consequences, but Lennie didn’t want to harm the puppiespuppy, he just didn’t think about what he was doing and the outcome of his actions. We also know from this quote that Lennie is very child like as he tries to sneak the puppiespuppy into his room. Lennie relies a lot on George in the quote “Make 'um stop, George” (pg 79) in this situation Lennie is getting beatbeaten up by Curley, we are shown that Lennie depends on George to help him. Lastly the quote “ You tol’ me to George” (pg 79) clearly shows that Lennie listens to everything that George says and he follows his instructions.
