Erickson’s Eight Stages of Development define ourselves and how we act as individuals. After reading Erickson’s eight stages; a stage that I have gone through is the second stage that occurs at age 18 months to 3 years, which is also known Autonomy vs. Shame. During this stage, children have an opportunity to build self-esteem and autonomy, while finding out “right” from “wrong.” Throughout this stage, children start to develop their first interest. During this stage, my parents gave me a sense of confidence where I was free to do what I want. I remember the first time when I was 10 months old, where I was able to walk for the first time. I was very happy because I was able to walk by myself without the help of my parents. From the time I walked;, I was exploring everything around me. Both of my parents did well in promoting autonomy by letting me do what I want. Besides, when I turned 3 years old, whenever I seeaw one of my family members do something, I tryied to do the same thing as them. For example, one time when my dad was tying his shoes., I was trying to do the same thing and I really did tie my shoelace. I learned to tie my shoes at a very young age, and my parents were really surprised and. at the same time, proud of this action of accomplishimengt. I believe I have resolved the crisis in this stage because of the understanding of the responsibility that I gained from it.

A stage that I have not experienced yet is the middle adulthood
, stage 5, which occurs abetween the ages 40 to 65, where it also known as Generativity vs. Stagnation. In this stage;, career and work are the most important along with family. Besides, it's the time when people can have a lot of responsibilities and control. As I move with my life, I hope that when I get to that certain age;, I will be satisfied with my life. As well, have a good career which is a pediatric nurse, a happy loving family, and stability in every way. I believe that I’m are here to experience, dream and achieve as much as I can. I’m willing to spend every minute to make a difference in people's lives. I have always dreamed tof being a successful pediatric nurse where this field never gets old. There are always new challenges arising every day, and new skilleds to be learned and that's why I picked this career. During this stage, I would like my kids in the future to look up at me as their role model. Moreover, I would love to leave a mark on the world where I hope I set positives examples for the society. Lastly, I wish that my family live a happy life where I have control of every situation they will face.
