Health issues:
Just aslike fear, shame is a trigger which makes us do things. But when people are wound up most of the time, and constantly think about how to make things better, and worry about past moments of their lives, they get stressed out, and develop different mental and physical issues.
Hundreds of studies have showed how anxiety disorders dumb us down and affect attention, alertness, concentration, problem solving, and memory. Next, they cause heart decisease, chronic respiratory disorders, and gastrointestinal conditions.
Moreover, when people with anxiety get physically sick, their disease becomes more difficult to treat,; symptoms become more severe, and they even die sooner.; there
Iis an increased suicide rates:.
Why should we, human beings, ever feel bad about ourselves and our actions? For not being "normal"? But what is normal for people, and what is not? There were and are so many cultures, values, and opinions about what is O.K. to do, and what is not.
The most breathtaking thing about it is the freedom of choice. Listening to others, we may lose that freedom and become literally slaves of someone's opinion. People can always free themselves from that slavery, but instead of breaking free and finding their true selves, free selves, some of them decide to commit suicide.
Sure, suicide is not a weakness and we say that not to blame anyone, but to help them understand that the reason fofr suicide is inside of our brains. Brain chemicals make people commit suicide. Likely, in the future, neuroscientists will find a way not to delete bad memories, but instead to decrease or eliminate shame from an individual's brain who suffers from mental pain.
Decreased productivity:
How many times we heard that we must work harder, be better, and achieve more.? Well, in fact it makes everything the other way around, and instead of motivating, constant criticizing affects our productivity and makes us less motivate,d; destroys our will and passion for working.
People start to associate new experience and good opportunities with mental pain. And the most reasonable thing to do for a brain would be to avoid the pain at any costs, right? Because of that, people start to skip their daily tasks, worry about doing things wrong, and being mocked down.
Globally, that affects our level of education, economy, and scientific progress. We devastaintingly lose our potential as a kind to explore the world, improve ourselves, and make our lives better.
