Dear Catherine,
I'm writing to ask you for help. At the last meeting of the board, I asked to take over a team, to be more particular: a team that was without a leader for several months now. As a result, currently, they function as individuals, not as a team. Their previous leader was very supportive, taking an individual approach. He was working with them for two years before he had left. Even now, at this very moment, I am seeing how much they miss him and how much they depended on him. Everybody wishes he came back, and everybody knows he never will. Of course, a new leader was appointed weeks ago. Now, I have to face it. Besides establishing my authority with them, I need to organize team building activities to make them work as a team again. Do you think you could help me deal with this?
