The crisis was caused by the invasion ofby Russia toof Ukraine,; Russia took advantage of its military power and according to the statements made by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the reason for the invasion was because Ukraine wanted to join the OTAN, which Russia considers as aa threat to the security of histheir country. Other people think that this is not the only reason for this invasion and many believe that it has to do with the reunification of the Soviet Union, for which it had to re-annex all the territories that were once part of the USSR. Thanks to our geographical location we, the Moldovan delegation, have an essential role in this esential role in this conflict.
