What is peculiar about Socrates' idea of justice is that it has nothing at all to do with a legal system. Justice is something that is engineered by the Guardians, through education. Education is a means by which individuals will lose the ability to be unjust, according to Socrates. Souls will become just by having the three parts of their soul, the- passion, spirited,spirit, and rational mind are balanced- in balance. This balance creates moderation, so justice exists within each person. With this theoretical framework, everyone belongs in a particular class with particular tasks and duties that they would do almost naturally since they have been thoroughly educated to do so.
