Hi Les,
I'll follow this up with a phone call,
. I called severval times yesterday and left messages. Apologies for missing your calls,; I'm commissioning a fuel farm at the moment (hazardous area), and was disconnected. I've also attached my original e-mail in response to yours,; just wanted to make sure you received it.
Just to elaborate on the attached., I've spoken to my management in regards to a start date and unfortunately, I'm in a position where I need to complete my project in Darwin. I received a significant amount of resistance in regards to finishing here, which took me by surprise. I'm able to provide a confirm start date once commissioning is complete, (and if your position is still available). Currently, the expected time of completion is at the end of October; however, it is not definite, given the number of problems we're still ironing out. To be transparent;, the reasoning behind this is, that I personally encouraged management to take this opportunity in Darwin as a pilot project to expand our capabilities. I would be burning bridges if I didn't see this project to the end of commissioning.
I'm very thankful for this opportunity. I wish the timing when I first received your phone call was at the end of this project. I'm able to keep you posted with how I'm travelling,; however, I also understand there are commitments and goals you're looking to achieve asap. I'm very distourtbed about the situation, especially given the potential opportunity to expand my technical capabilities within a growing industry/company.
Lastly, please accept my apology in the disconnect of communication. I've been trying to weigh options and evaluate outcomes, which has been a constant moving target, (as you can see from above).
