Drug-induced pemphigoid

Bullous pemphigoid is a common acquired autoimmune blistering disease which
mainly affects mainly the elderly.
It is characterized clinically by tense, variform bullae which can develop on normal or erythematosus skin.
changesChanges occur all over the body,; mainly torso and limbs are occupied.
In these patients, antibodies against basal membrane antigens are present.
The pathogenesis of bullous pemphigoid may be associated with various groups of medications.
The drugs that are known to induce pemphigoid include:
ACE inhibitors, furosemide spironolactone,
penicllinpenicillin, ciprofloxacin, neuroleptics, sulfonamide, sulfasalazine,
isoniazid, sodium benzoate, and PUVA.
In recent times
a lot of researches showedmany studies have shown that DPP-4 inhibitors and biological therapy of melanoma can also induce pemphigoid.
In this report we would like to describe pemphigoid associated with both
of these drug groups.
